Before & After Photos for Renovations & Home Improvement

Free. No signup. No watermark.

Renovation before-and-afters are some of the highest-value marketing content a builder or renovator can produce — but the photos are almost never framed the same way, since the "before" shot is often just a quick phone snap before demo day. This tool's per-image alignment tools exist specifically to solve that problem.

Before & After Photo Tips

Tip 1

If possible, mark the tripod or camera position with tape on the floor during the walkthrough so the final photo can be shot from the exact same spot.

Tip 2

When the angles don't match, use Rotate and Zoom to correct converging verticals (walls that lean inward) so both photos feel level and consistent.

Tip 3

Crop out unrelated clutter — tools, dust sheets, packaging — from the before shot where possible, since it can distract from the structural comparison.

Tip 4

For kitchens and bathrooms, a Vertical Split centred on the main fixture (island, vanity, shower) usually reads more clearly than a full side-by-side.

Tip 5

Use the headline field to name the room and job type ("Kitchen Renovation", "Ensuite Rebuild") — it helps the post perform in search and gives context at a glance.

FAQ

The before photo was taken with a wide-angle phone lens and looks distorted compared to the after — what can I do?+

Wide-angle distortion (bowed walls, exaggerated depth) can't be fully corrected without specialist software, but reducing the Zoom slightly and cropping toward the centre of the frame — where distortion is least visible — usually makes the two photos look far more consistent.

Can I show more than a simple crop of the room?+

The tool crops and aligns your existing photos but doesn't generate or alter what's actually in them — so it will only ever show a genuine result. If a wider shot is needed, use a wider original photo.
