Before & After Photos for Landscaping & Garden Makeovers

Free. No signup. No watermark.

Landscaping transformations often unfold over days or weeks, and the photos rarely come from the same phone angle. This tool's independent alignment controls make it easy to line up a rough, overgrown before shot with a tidy, finished after shot — even if they were taken at different times of day.

Before & After Photo Tips

Tip 1

Use a fixed reference point — a fence line, a tree, or the corner of a house — visible in both photos so the eye has something stable to compare against.

Tip 2

Take the before photo before you unload tools, trailers or mulch bags into the yard; equipment in the frame distracts from the transformation.

Tip 3

Shoot wide-angle landscape jobs from a slightly elevated position (a step ladder or the truck tray) to capture the full scope of the yard in both shots.

Tip 4

Top & Bottom layout works especially well for wide garden beds and lawns, since it preserves the full width of the scene rather than cropping it in half.

Tip 5

If the before and after were shot with different phones or in different seasons, use the Rotate and Zoom controls to correct any tilt or framing mismatch before exporting.

FAQ

My before photo was taken from further away than the after photo — can I fix that?+

Yes — use the Zoom control on whichever image needs to be brought in closer, then use Pan X / Pan Y to recentre it so the same section of yard lines up in both frames.

What's the best format for posting a full yard transformation?+

Instagram Post (1:1) or Website format both give you enough width to show a full yard. For a phone-first audience, Instagram Story / Reel (9:16) with a Top & Bottom layout also works well.
