Before & After Photos for Cleaning Businesses

Nothing sells a cleaning job like a clean before-and-after shot. Whether you run a carpet cleaning van, a pressure washing crew, or a house cleaning service, a well-framed comparison photo does more convincing than any sales pitch — and you can build one on your phone before you've even packed up the van.

Before & After Photo Tips

Tip 1

Shoot from the exact same spot for both photos — plant your feet, take the before shot, and don't move until you take the after shot from the same angle and height.

Tip 2

Match the lighting. A driveway shot in morning shade and an after shot in harsh midday sun will look like two different surfaces, even if the cleaning was flawless.

Tip 3

Keep something recognisable in frame (a doormat, a garden bed, a driveway crack) so viewers can immediately tell it's the same spot, not a different job.

Tip 4

For carpets and floors, clean and photograph one clearly defined section first — a half-room split or a strip down the middle — so the transformation is obvious in a single frame.

Tip 5

Wipe down or dry visible surfaces before the after photo. Wet patches and streaks read as "still dirty" in photos even when the job is done.

Tip 6

Avoid your own shadow or reflection falling across the after shot — step back or shoot from a slight angle.

FAQ

What's the best layout for a driveway or pressure washing job?+

Side by Side or Vertical Split both work well for driveways and paths because the surface is usually one continuous shape — a vertical split lets viewers see the exact same section, half cleaned and half not, in one image.

How do I stop my before/after looking staged?+

Keep the framing, distance and lighting identical between the two shots, and avoid cropping the after photo tighter than the before. Genuine, matched framing is what makes a transformation believable — this tool won't let you fabricate a result, only present a real one clearly.

Can I add my cleaning business logo and phone number?+

Yes — switch to Business Mode and you can add your logo, business name, phone number and website to the image, sized and positioned however you like.
