Before & After Photos for Painting Jobs

Free. No signup. No watermark.

A fresh coat of paint is one of the most visually dramatic — and most commonly under-photographed — trades transformations. A clean before-and-after post is often the single best piece of marketing a painting business can put out after a job.

Before & After Photo Tips

Tip 1

Photograph the same wall or elevation, from the same distance, with the sun in a similar position — direct sun on a freshly painted wall can wash out the colour compared to the (likely shadier) before shot.

Tip 2

Remove drop sheets, tins and brushes from the frame before the after photo — they're useful on-site but distracting in a finished-result photo.

Tip 3

For exterior jobs, try to shoot both photos at a similar time of day so the sky and shadows don't give away that hours (or days) passed between shots.

Tip 4

A tight crop on a feature wall or trim detail often shows brush/roller quality better than a full-room shot.

Tip 5

Use Match Framing after uploading both photos as a fast starting point, then fine-tune the zoom and pan by hand.

FAQ

What colour settings should I use for the labels and background?+

The Construction and Minimal colour presets both work well for painting brands — Construction leans bold with an orange accent, Minimal keeps the focus entirely on the paintwork itself.

Can I show a colour swatch or brand name on the photo?+

Yes — the optional headline field can carry the paint colour or job name (e.g. "Dulux Natural White — Living Room"), and Business Mode lets you add your business name and logo.
